I believe in art as a force for good. Color and shape can uniquely bypass the rational mind, deconstruct limiting belief systems, and re-synchronize the rational mind with the imagination to allow for a shift in perspective. Beyond a cognitive experience, the physical and emotional effects of experiencing art can enhance health, harmony, and well-being.These works experiment with the somatic and psychological resonance of color harmonies, the creativity and cognitive flexibility experienced when challenging the mind to create shape with color instead of value, and perspectivism as experienced through a language of symbols that bring subconscious experiences to the surface of consciousness.
Thematically these works explore a deep and universal tension - the choice required within each moment between darkness and light, reason and intuition, structure and bliss. These contrasting forces, two opposite but interdependent poles, provide both the great opportunity and the great challenge for every soul.
